Bachelor’s Degree Program

Bachelor of Education in Educational Management and Administration

The Bachelor of Education, BEd in Educational Management and Administration is an undergraduate program in the Faculty of Education with an objective to expose students to the management and administration of any educational institution whether public or private. Students will understand the relevance of efficient and effective management and administration of educational entity.

Note: 120 credit units are required for Bachelor of Education in Educational Management and Administration and it is categorized as follows: 69 credit units for compulsory courses, 33 credit units for elective courses, and 18 credit units for general education courses.

Bachelor of Education

The Bachelor of Education, BEd is an undergraduate program in the Faculty of Education with an objective to expose students to various aspect of education. Students will understand the relevance tools for efficient and effective management and administration of educational entity.

Student is at liberty to choose either Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Education with specialization in:

  1. Curriculum, Assessment, Evaluation, and Instruction
  2. Early Childhood and Primary Education
  3. Educational Management and Planning
  4. Educational Policy and Leadership
  5. Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counseling
  6. Educational Technology and Design
  7. Higher Education Leadership, Management and Policy
  8. Human Kinetics and Health Education
  9. Learning, Innovation and Instruction
  10. Library and Information Science
  11. Organizational Evaluation, Research and Assessment
  12. Special Education
  13. TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language)

Note: (a) 120 credit units are required for Bachelor of Education (BEd) and it is categorized as follows: 69 credit units for compulsory courses, 33 credit units for elective courses, and 18 credit units for general education courses.

Master’s Degree Program

Master of Education

The Master of Education, MEd is a postgraduate degree program in the Faculty of Education with an objective to expose students with the advance skills required for efficient and effective management and administration of educational entity.

Student is at liberty to choose either Master of Education or Master of Education with specialization in:

  1. Curriculum, Assessment, Evaluation, and Instruction
  2. Early Childhood and Primary Education
  3. Educational Management and Planning
  4. Educational Policy and Leadership
  5. Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counseling
  6. Educational Technology and Design
  7. Higher Education Leadership, Management and Policy
  8. Human Kinetics and Health Education

Note: (a) 36 credit units are required for Master of Education (MEd) and it is categorized as follows: 26 credit units for compulsory courses, 4 credit units for elective courses and 6 credit units for thesis.

(b) 36 credit units are required for Master of Education (MEd) with specialization and its categorized as follows: 20 credit units for compulsory courses, 4 credit units for elective courses, and 6 credit units for specialization courses, and 6 credit units for thesis.

Doctoral Degree Programs

1. PhD in Education

The PhD in Education is the apex academic degree in the postgraduate school of the Faculty of Education with an objective to prepare students with leadership skills and knowledge needed to succeed and occupy top leadership positions both in the academics and other sectors.

Student is at liberty to choose either PhD in Education or PhD in Education with specialization in:

  1. Curriculum, Assessment, Evaluation, and Instruction
  2. Early Childhood and Primary Education
  3. Educational Management and Planning
  4. Educational Policy and Leadership
  5. Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counseling
  6. Educational Technology and Design

Note: (a) 57 credit units are required for PhD in Education and its categorized as follows: 21 credit units for core courses, 8 credit units for general courses, 12 credit units for doctoral seminars and 16 credit units for thesis.

(b) 57 credit units are required for PhD in Education with specialization and its categorized as follows: 15 credit units for core courses, 8 credit units for general courses, 6 credit units for specialization courses, 12 credit units for doctoral seminars, and 16 credit units for thesis.

2. Doctor of Education
